First 'Arosfan' opens in Gwynedd

I suspect that if any part of the vehicle were outside the marked bay, you would be regarded as causing an obstruction. Note that they are quite clear about that in respect of Arosfan bays and vehicle length.
Interesting poiint! The designated Parking Bays at Burntisland [Beacon Leisure Centre] that were painted in late February/early March look to have been redrawn and notices erected indicating that £100 Parking Penalty Notices [£60 if paid in 14 days] will be issued if parked outside the designated bays. We watched as a normal-sized 'Whoosh Bang' arrived and parked in about 1.5 of 2 'back to back' designated Motorhome Bays in the middle of the Car Park. A single bay could not take even a 6m Van, and there is no signage to indicate that the 2 former Car Spaces are intended for just 1 M/Home. There is also a row of 3 'M/Home' Bays that have similar dire warnings of Penalty Notices but a 7m Van would not fit into the designated piitches. Parking is free from 0700 to 2200 and there is then a £5 Fee for overnight, operated on an Honesty Box' basis [have to admire the Council's optimism]

At Burntisland, do they specify that penalty notices are issued if parked outside a single designated bay? Otherwise, if you're occupying two designated bays, you're complying with their requirement. :D

I'll need to check the wording again! BUT, the row of 3 designated M/Home Bays that are not much longer than standard car parking spaces would leave a 7m or longer vehicle blocking the pedestrian entry to the Parking, and possibly blocking the disabled parking bays that are set at [roughly] right angles ...

The initial proposal was to have designated M/Home parking on the rear row of the Beacon Leisure Centre [where longer Vans could park with the rear over the grass verge], with the spare ground opposite the Beacon also to be used, with both areas charging £10 per night to bring the charges in line with Ruby Bay and Kingsbarn etc, so something has changed over the 2 months we've been away!
